Henry Dill stopped 37 shots as Massachusetts rallied from a first-period deficit to beat No. 14 Quinnipiac, 3-2.

Quinnipiac took a 1-0 lead 15:25 into the opening period when Alex Barron lifted a wrist shot over the shoulder of Dill from inside the left faceoff circle off a feed from Travis St. Denis and Bo Pieper.

Massachusetts tied it shortly thereafter on a power play when Ray Pigozzi sent the puck behind the net to Patrick Lee, who passed it to Steven Iacobellis, who knocked it in at 17:49.

Massachusetts took its first lead at 7:15 of the second period when Pigozzi got a pass from Maddison Smiley up the left wing and found Frank Vatrano on an odd-man break at the back post.

Massachusetts made it 3-1 early in the third when Lee made a spectacular play while on his knees to keep the puck in the offensive zone, then passed it up the boards to Dennis Kravchenko. Kravchenko passed it to Troy Power in the slot, and Power knocked it in.

With time running down in the period, Barron got his second of the night during a scramble in front off assists from Landon Smith and Matthew Peca at 18:26.

The teams will be back in action Saturday, Nov. 29, at the Mullins Center at 7 p.m.
