After early goals by Jillian Saulnier and Taylor Woods, the Big Red took a commanding 5-0 lead in the final two minutes of the first period. After Emily Fulton tallied her fifth goal of the year at 18:18, Taylor Woods and Kaitlin Doering scored 25 seconds apart in the final minute.

Jaimie McDonell got Princeton on the board at 2:08 of the second period, as the Tigers took advantage of an early power play and swayed the game’s momentum. The Tigers then added two goals in the next 50 seconds, as Olivia Mucha and Rose Alleva both tallied their first goals of the year to lessen the Tigers deficit to two. Ali Pankowski added a power-play goal at 10:17 of the period, bringing the Tigers within one.

But Lauren Slebodnick was perfect in the third, stopping all 10 shots for a game total of 19 saves, and preserving the win for the Cornell Big Red.

Kimberly Newell made six saves on 11 shots in the first period for the Tigers before being replaced by Ashley Holt at the start of the second period. Holt stopped all 20 shots she faced, including a penalty shot on Jessica Campbell.
