Walsh turns aside all 20 as Bemidji State blanks Alabama-Huntsville

Bemidji State goaltender Andrew Walsh stopped all 20 shots he faced as the Beavers beat Alabama-Huntsville 3-0 Friday night for the 16th time in the two schools’ last 20 meetings.

Since the rivalry began in 1994, BSU is 37-28-4, while it has not lost a game to the Chargers on its home ice since Feb. 17, 2007, a 4-3 loss at the John S. Glas Fieldhouse.

Jake Arashenko, Shea Walters and Ben Kinne scored for Bemidji State (8-9-2).

The BSU penalty kill was 5-for-5 on the night as well.

Clarke Saunders finished with 21 saves for the Chargers (1-18-1).

Bemidji State and Alabama-Huntsville complete their series Saturday at 7:07 p.m. CST.
