Minnesota State made a big statement last weekend against Bowling Green. In the first (and only) regular-season series between the consensus two top teams in the conference, the Mavericks swept the Falcons in fairly convincing fashion. They won 4-1 and 5-0, showing off their depth and their defensive prowess in the process.

WCHA announces postponements of upcoming series between Lake Superior State-Bemidji State, Alabama Huntsville-Minnesota State

The WCHA announced Monday that this weekend’s conference series between Lake Superior State and Bemidji State, scheduled for Jan. 29-30, in Bemidji, Minn., and the WCHA nonconference series between Alabama Huntsville and Minnesota State, scheduled for Jan. 28-29, in Mankato, Minn., have been postponed.

It is tough to remain competitive through all of the adversity the 2020-21 season has thrown at teams.

Yet, Bob Daniels’ Ferris State squad is trying to do just that. The Bulldogs are 1-8-0 on the season after earning a win on Saturday over Trine.

Right now, his team’s record is the least of what Daniels is trying to focus on.
