Aucoin Named USCHO D-III POTY

A year of accolades for Norwich’s Keith Aucoin continued Thursday, when the senior was chosen winner of USCHO.com’s Division III Player of the Year. It was the second time Aucoin was so chosen in the three-year history of the award.

Ceglarski Tabbed to Replace Thomaris at Elmira

Tim Ceglarski has been named to replace Glenn Thomaris as head coach at Elmira. Ceglarski is a 1987 graduate of Boston College, where he played for his father, Len, on three Hockey East championship teams and in three NCAA tournaments.

Elmira’s Thomaris Resigns

Elmira College and Glenn Thomaris jointly announced his resignation today as head coach of the Soaring Eagles. Thomaris, who gave no reason for his departure, leaves after 14 seasons behind the Elmira bench, where he amassed a 271-122-14 record, including five ECAC West championships and seven appearances in the NCAA tournament.

Mallen Lands at UMass-Boston

Former UMass-Amherst coach Joe Mallen has been named head coach at UMass-Boston. Mallen, who coached the Beacons in the early ’80s, returns to where his collegiate head coaching career began.

Taylor Leaves Lowell for Hobart Top Spot

Mark Taylor, a long-time Division I assistant at Mass.-Lowell and Cornell, has been named the new head coach at Division-III Hobart.
