ECAC Commits to NCAA Points of Emphasis

Nichols has named Lou Izzi as its new ice hockey coach. Izzi, a former coach at Johnson and Wales University, replaces Mark Jago, Nichols’ coach the last four seasons. Izzi compiled an 86-65-3 record in six years at Johnson and Wales, including an 18-7-2 mark in 2000-01. Izzi is a 1987 graduate of Providence College. … Read more

Suffolk Coaches Switch Roles

Suffolk’s head coach and assistant coach are swapping roles. Assistant Chris Glionna is moving up to become the school’s head coach, while Brian Horan, the head coach since 1999, steps aside to become the assistant. Jonathan Deptula, who became Wentworth’s interim ice hockey coach on Jan. 30, has been named the Leopards’ head coach. Deptula became interim coach when Wentworth fired Bill Bowes. Wentworth has announced that hockey coach Bill Bowes was fired Friday, for undisclosed reasons.
