North Dakota defenseman Ben Blood announced today that he will return to the Fighting Sioux for his senior season this fall.
Blood opted not to sign with the Ottawa Senators, the team that made him a fourth-round draft pick (120th overall) in 2007.
Blood appeared in all 44 games for the Fighting Sioux in 2010-11 and led the nation with a +32 plus/minus rating. He added two goals and a career-best 10 assists for 12 points and was the only UND skater to play in all 44 games.
In 118 career games, Blood has 27 points (seven goals, 20 assists) and is a +46.
