The World Junior A Challenge, a six-team U-19 international tournament which is held each year in Canada, showcases most of the top Junior A players in the world, many of whom have Division I commitments.
This year’s Challenge was staged in Whitby and Cobourg, Ontario, and included more than 40 college-committed players spread across Teams USA, Canada East and Canada West.
Canada West won the championship with a 2-1 win over Russia on Saturday. The U.S. took third with a 7-1 win over Canada East on Friday.
