Bethel has elevated Brian Carlson to its head women’s coach.
Carlson, who was the Royals’ assistant coach for the last four seasons, replaces Charlie Burggraf, who became Bethel’s men’s coach.
“Brian Carlson is a gifted leader who has a thorough understanding of all aspects associated with coaching college women’s hockey,” Bethel athletic director Bob Bjorklund said in a statement. “He has demonstrated a commitment to excellence and a passion for building a vibrant culture within the team. I’m thrilled to have Brian take over the reins and use his wealth of experience and proven influence in leading the Bethel women’s hockey program.”
