No. 8 Middlebury captured the Panther/Cardinal Classic by tying No. 2 Adrian and defeating No. 1 Plattsburgh. No. 6 Wisconsin-Eau Claire blanked No. 5 Elmira, and No. 7 Wisconsin-River Falls topped No. 2 Adrian, 4-2, while Lake Forest upset No. 10 St. Thomas, adding to the potential rankings chaos.
Both Middlebury and Norwich avoided upsets in their conference tournaments, while Hamline beat Augsburg to set up a huge MIAC showdown with St. Thomas.

It’s time for a midseason check-in with the women’s D-III teams in the East, including how they compare to the preseason expectations. Many of the expected top teams, such as Elmira, Norwich, and Plattsburgh,have been where expected, but there are surprises, such as Morrisville and Williams.
