Sophomore forward Alex Marinkovich scored three goals and added three assists, and sophomore defenseman Chris Hartly scored two goals and three assists as Wentworth set a new school record for victories in a season by defeating Framingham State, 15-3.
The Leopards, who set a school record for goals in a game, used five goals in each period to secure the victory.
Other multiple-point scorers were sophomore forward Brad Carpenter, who tallied a goal and two assists, freshman forward Shawn Metheral, who totaled three assists, senior forward Tim Yakimowsky with a goal and an assist, senior defenseman McGregor Chadwick with two assists, sophomore forward Ben Pierce with two goals and an assist, and sophomore defenseman Michael Nicoletta, who had a goal and an assist.
Framingham State sophomore forward Roger LeBlanc scored two of the Rams’ three goals. Framingham State used three goalies, with senior Steve Badera making 17 saves, junior Chris Pelley 11, and freshman Steve Thompson two. Freshman Bryce McFadden made 18 saves for the Leopards.
With the win, Wentworth improves to 19-5-0 (13-2-0 ECAC Northeast) and breaks the school-record win total of 18, which was set last season. Wentworth closes out the regular season Sunday night at Johnson & Wales. Framingham State falls to 3-20-1 (2-13-0).
