Junior tri-captain forward Danielle Williams tallied a hat trick and an assist while sophomore forwards Tory Serues and Katie Potter each netted a pair of goals as Amherst won an exhibition game against crosstown rival UMass-Amherst, 10-4, Wednesday night at Orr Rink.
Williams notched what turned out to be the game winner 10:05 into the first period. The Jeffs placed six different players in the scoring column, including Williams, Serues, Potter, sophomore Alison White, first-years Annie Grabowski and Ellie Roe.
First-year goaltender K.C. Cosentino played the entire game for Amherst, posting nine saves. The Jeffs outshot UMass, 63-13.
