Bowling Green cut an early 3-0 deficit to just one goal early in the third period before visiting Notre Dame scored three unanswered goals in a 10-minute span for a 6-3 CCHA win before 2,506 at BGSU Ice Arena.

Notre Dame scored twice within the first six minutes of the game, first from a power-play goal by David Inman at 3:27 and then off of an even-strength goal from Tom Galvin at 5:15.

Bowling Green slowly started to work its way back into the mix in the second period thanks to a 13-11 shot advantage in the second 20 minutes of play. Then, at 17:44, sophomore Kevin Bieksa scored his second goal of the season on a power play to put the Falcons on the board. The man-advantage goal snapped a 0-for-24 skid for BGSU on the power play. Defenseman Grady Moore and Brian Escobedo assisted.

Sophomore D’Arcy McConvey moved the home team to within one of the Irish with Bowling Green’s second power-play goal of the game at 1:27 of the third period. It was his first goal since the season-opener at Maine.

However, Galvin stopped Bowling Green’s momentum just over a minute later with his second goal of the game at 2:36 in the third period. Notre Dame scored two more times before sophomore Roger Leonard gave the Falcons their third goal of the night at 17:08.
