SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Northeastern continued its roll through the second half of the season, beating No. 10 Notre Dame 3-1 in the first game of a Hockey East quarterfinal series Friday.
Lincoln Griffin, John Stevens and Tanner Pond scored for the Huskies, who are 17-1-2 in their last 20 games after starting the season 2-12-3.
Ryan Ruck stopped 20 shots for Northeastern, while Cal Petersen made 19 saves for Notre Dame.
