MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Air Force guaranteed themselves a bye in the first round with a 1-0 win at Robert Morris. Though Air Force can drop to fifth behind Army West Point, if RIT, currently two points behind, also catches them, Air Force holds that tiebreaker.
With a win Saturday night, Air Force would leapfrog an idle Holy Cross for third place. Meanwhile, Robert Morris could jump into a bye position by tying Army West Point (and passing RIT) since Robert Morris wins that tiebreaker.
Erik Baskin scored at 4:03 of the first period, and that held up for the rest of the game. Billy Christopoulos made 29 saves to keep the lead and the shutout.
