The American International Yellow Jackets managed to out shoot the home standing Mercyhurst Lakers by a 33-15 margin. But Brandon Wildung had answers for 32 of the shots he faced, helping his team emerge with a 3-1 victory that saw the Laker winning streak extend to four games.
Bryan Slenerth’s two points paced the Lakers who got the game winning goal off the stick of Jack Riley at 11:36 of the seconf period while Tommaso Bucci added a shorthanded insurance tally just two minutes later. Blake Christiansen scored the lone goal for the Yellow Jackets who managed to out shoot the Lakers by a 13-4 margin in the third period, but could not beat Wildung to climb back into the game.
