Freshman forward Briana Jentner scored two goals as the Cornell Big Red overcame an early deficit to beat the Providence College Friars 4-2 Friday night in ECAC play.
The Friars recorded the game’s first goal at 15:52 of the first period when freshman defenseman Meredith Roth converted on a power-play attempt.
Cornell responded 17 seconds later as Jentner as the two teams headed to the first intermission tied at one.

But Cornell tied the game early in the third period on Jentner’s second goal of the game, with the assists again going to Bode and Murao at 1:11.
The Big Red then scored the game-winner when Bode recorded Cornell’s first power-play goal of the year to beat Friar junior netminder Brigid Keady at 3:03. Cornell added an empty-net goal with 31 seconds remaining in the third period.
