For a while, it looked like twelfth-seeded St. Lawrence might hold on for an upset in Game 1 of the opening round of the ECAC Hockey playoffs.
The Saints took a 1-0 lead on Mike Marnell’s goal at 10:58 in the second, and held that lead until late in the third period, when Dartmouth scored twice in just over a minute en route to a 2-1 win Friday at Thompson Arena.
Shane Sellar scored the game-tying goal for Dartmouth 17:27 into the final period, setting up Kevin Kilistoff’s game-winning score at 18:20.
Arthur Brey had 30 saves for the Saints, while Devin Buffalo made 25 saves for the Big Green. Dartmouth will look to close out the best-of-three series Saturday at 7 p.m.
