It took until the final game of the regular season, but Clarkson finally has a win in February. The Golden Knights scored three straight goals from the end of the first period to the middle of the second en route to a 4-2 win over Quinnipiac on Saturday. Nico Sturm had two goals and two assists for Clarkson, who hadn’t won in a span of eight games dating back to Jan. 26. Devin Brosseau and Kelly Summers each had a goal and an assist for the Golden Knights, while Jake Kielly had 23 saves. Kevin Duane and Chase Priskie scored for Quinnipiac. The Golden Knights locked up the third seed in ECAC Hockey tournament and will have a first-round bye. The loss dropped the Bobcats to ninth place, meaning QU will travel to in-state rival Yale for a best-of-three series starting on Friday. It is the first time that the Quinnipiac has not hosted a playoff series since the school joined ECAC Hockey in 2005.
