BOSTON — Northeastern’s potent offense struck for a season-high eight goals in its regular-season home finale at Matthews Arena, while freshman Cayden Primeau made all 29 saves in a combined shutout with senior Jake Theut. Dylan Sikura and Adam Gaudette led the Huskies each with three-point games. Sikura and Patrick Schule both posted two goals.
Brandon Schultz and Schule scored the only goals the Huskies would need 9:35 and 14:54 into the first period. Schule and Gaudette doubled the Huskies’ lead to 4-0 in the second before Sikura scored two of his team’s four third-period goals on the power play. Lincoln Griffin and Biagio Lerario also added goals in the final frame.
All three UNH goalies saw action. Daniel Tirone got the start and played about half the game, making 15 saves.
