CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Golden Knights might officially be in trouble.
Clarkson’s winless streak hit seven games Saturday night at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center in Cambridge, as Harvard scored twice in the first period to help the Crimson to 5-2 win over the Golden Knights.
Senior Merrick Madsen made 26 saves for Harvard, while John Marino and Benjamin Solin had a goal and an assist each. The Crimson secured a first-round bye in the league playoffs with the win.
Nico Sturm (two goals) and Sheldon Rempal (two assists) led the way offensively for Clarkson, who has clinched a first-round bye despite its recent struggles.
