The Catamounts extended their unbeaten streak to seven games with their 2-2 draw against the Wildcats Saturday at Whittemore Center.
Freshman Max Kaufman and Jarrid Privitera notched goals in the third period to give UVM a 2-1 lead. Junior Marcus Vela knotted the game at 2-2 for UNH at 17:26 of the third period, and neither squad could light the lamp in the five-minute extra frame.
Both goalies saw lots of rubber, as Catamounts goalie Stefanos Lekkas (39 saves) and Wildcats netminder Danny Tirone (36 saves) each kept their respective teams in the contest.
