HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Mavericks trailed 2-1 late in the third period when Marc Michaelis found the back of the net at 17:50 to force overtime. Just 27 seconds into the extra session, C.J. Suess found the net as Parker Tuomie picked up his second assist of the night to give the Mavericks the win.
Tuomie gave the Mavericks a 1-0 lead at 15:38 of the second before the Chargers got goals from Kurt Gosselin and Christian Rajic just 1:21 apart to open the third period to put the hosts ahead. Connor LaCouvee made 17 saves to earn the win.
