BOSTON – Bobo Carpenter, playing in his 101st career game, exploded offensively for the host Terrier scoring twice and adding an assist in a 3-1 victory.
Brady Tkachuk and Carpenter gave BU a 2-0 lead before Merrimack’s Ludvig Larsson netted his eight of the season late in the second two draw the Warriors within a goal.
Carpenter, though, scored on the power play with 9:56 remaining to account for the 3-1 final.
BU’s power play went 2-for-4 in the game while killing all seven Merrimack man advantage opportunities.
