Both Harvard and Clarkson entered Friday with lengthy unbeaten streaks, as the Golden Knights had won fourteen straight games, while the Crimson were unbeaten in their last six.
Each of those streaks remains intact, as Harvard’s Lewis Zerter-Gossage scored extra-attacker goal in the final minute of the third period to force a wild 6-6 tie.
Zerter-Gossage finished the game with two goals, while Ryan Donato and Jake Horton each had a goal and an assist for the Crimson.
Jack Jacome had two goals and an assist for Clarkson, while Haralds Egle, Marly Quince, Terrance Amorosa, and Josh Dickinson also record multi-point nights for the Golden Knights.
Each team scored one goal in the first period, two in the second, and three in the third.
Harvard’s Merrick Madsen allowed five goals on 25 shots before giving way to Michael Lackey, whie Clarkson’s Jake Kielly played the entire game and finished with 31 saves.
The six goals are the most the Golden Knights have allowed all year. Clarkson entered the night giving up an average of 1.27 goals per game, the best mark in Division I.
