Minnesota Duluth ties Dartmouth, wins shootout, captures Ledyard Bank tournament

HANOVER, N.H. — In a goaltenders’ duel, Minnesota Duluth rookie Kobe Roth, without a goal on a season, scored the winning goal in a shootout as the Bulldogs took home the crown of the Ledyard Bank tournament.

The game will officially go down as a 2-2 tie, but Duluth earns the championship on a 2-1 shootout victory.

Dartmouth’s Shane Sellar notched the tying goal midway through the contest as neither team could score for the final 35-plus minutes of regulation and overtime.

Minnesota Duluth;s Hunter Shepard finished the game with 41 saves, while Dartmouth’s Devin Buffalo was equally impressive stopping 39 shots.
