The Crusaders erased deficits of 2-0 and 3-2 before taking the lead late in the second period on a goal from Charlie Barrow. But Mercyhurst’s Taylor Best evened the score with just 10 seconds left in regulation. Mercyhurst outshot Holy Cross 50-33 with Crusaders’ goaltender Paul Berrafato making 46 saves.
Sacred Heart 3, Connecticut 1
The Pioneers defeated the Huskies for the fourth straight year. Brett Magnus stopped 44 of 45 shots for the Pioneers. Connecticut outshot Sacred Heart 45-22.
Massachusetts 3, American International 1
The Minutemen opened a 2-0 first period lead on goals from Oliver Chau and John Leonard. AIC cut the lead to 2-1 midway through the third period, but Leonard’s second of the game with 2:39 to play sealed the win.
Air Force 3, Arizona State 2
Erich Jaeger had two assists to lead the Cadets over the Sun Devils. Air Force outshot Arizona State 34-28.
