The RIT offense jumped out to an early lead, as Kolbee McCrea, Haley Northcote and Celeste Brown netted goals in the first 12:04 of the game.
But the Princeton offense mounted a three-goal comeback, with tallies by Fiona McKenna, Lloyd and Ali Pankowski in the final two stanzas.
Sly netted the game winner in overtime on the power play, which began with 17 seconds left in regulation.
Freshman goaltender Alysia DaSilva earned the win for Princeton, stopping all 11 shots after replacing Ashley Holt, who made nine saves.
Brooke Stoddart made 30 saves for RIT.
