CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Defenseman Lexi Bender completed her first collegiate hat trick in the game’s first 27 minutes, and No. 3 Boston College blasted Syracuse 10-2 on Saturday.
Emily Pfalzer, Bender’s defensive partner, scored and added five assists for the Eagles, who outshot the Orange 41-17.
Alex Carpenter added two goals and two assists for Boston College (1-0).
Melissa Piacentini and Stephanie Grossi scored for Syracuse (1-1).
