MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. — Alex Kromm, Kyle Brodie and Garrett Ladd scored third-period goals for Wisconsin-Stevens Point, which beat St. Thomas 3-0 on Saturday in the NCAA quarterfinals.
Brandon Jaeger made 25 saves for the Pointers (21-5-2), who earned their first national semifinal appearance since 1998.
Kromm broke a scoreless tie 6:17 into the third period, and Brodie followed less than five minutes later.
Ladd made it three goals in 6:05 for the Pointers.
Drew Fielding stopped 24 shots for the Tommies (21-5-2).
