Monique Lamoureux scored four times and sister Jocelyne added two goals and four assists as North Dakota punched its ticket to the WCHA Final Face-Off with an 8-1 victory over Minnesota State on Saturday.
UND swept the series, winning the opener 6-1 on Friday.
Michelle Karvinen and Josefine Jakobsen also scored for North Dakota (25-10-1), which outshot the Mavericks 45-23.
Lauren Barnes scored and Danielle Butters made 20 saves in relief for Minnesota State (10-21-5). Erin Krichiver allowed four goals on 21 shots in the game’s first 15:40.
Shelby Amsley-Benzie made 19 saves and allowed one goal for North Dakota. Jorid Dagfinrud stopped all three shots she faced in the game’s final 9:50.
North Dakota, the WCHA tournament’s third seed, will play second seed Wisconsin in the semifinals on Friday in Minneapolis.
