Six players scored for Colgate in a 6-1 victory over Princeton on Friday.
Taylor Craig scored just 1:11 into the game on a feed by Stephanie Giannopoulos, who tallied three assists on the night. Miriam Drubel and Jocelyn Simpson scored two minutes apart midway through, and Rachel Walsh scored with five seconds remaining to cap a four-goal scoring burst in the first period for the Raiders.
Megan Wickens scored the only goal in the second, beating goaltender Ashley Holt to increase the Colgate lead to 5-0.
Princeton finally broke through the Raiders defense 18 seconds into the third, when Kelly Cooke tallied the lone goal to beat goaltender Ashlynne Rando, who stopped 18 out of 19 shots. Brittany Phillips finished the game’s scoring at 2:35, tallying the the sixth and final goal of the game for Colgate.
Kimberly Newell stopped eight shots for Princeton before being replaced by Ashley Holt in the second period, who finished with 12 saves.
