Drew LeBlanc scored twice in the second period and No. 15 St. Cloud State pulled away with two goals in the third for a 5-2 victory over No. 6 North Dakota on Saturday.
LeBlanc added an assist on Jonny Brodzinski’s first-period goal for a three-point night.
Garrett Milan and Jimmy Murray scored in the third period for the Huskies (6-4, 4-2 WCHA) to add to a 3-2 advantage at the second intermission.
Drake Caggiula put North Dakota (4-3-1, 2-1-1) ahead 1-0 in the first period and Dillon Simpson cut its deficit to one late in the second.
Ryan Faragher stopped 22 shots for St. Cloud State while Clarke Saunders made 32 saves for North Dakota.
