After that goal, Falcon goaltender Peter Foster was pulled from the game and replaced by Mike Polidor. Andrew McKay then scored the next two goals for a 5-1 advantage.

The Falcons answered with 35 seconds left in the second period as Seth Pelletier scored, and AFA cut the lead to two goals twice in the third period, but the Crusaders answered both times.

Tom Starkey scored from Brooks Turnquist at 1:58 of the third period to make the score 5-3. Four minutes later, Tyler McGregor scored to retake a three-goal advantage for HC.

After the goal, Foster returned to the nets for Air Force, and Greg Kealey’s short-handed, empty-net goal made for the final margin.

The Crusader line of McKay, Napert-Frenette and McGregor dominated the game. The trio scored four goals and had eight assists.
