The Green Knights roared out to a 5-0 lead after one period and exacted some revenge over Wisconsin-Superior with a 5-2 victory in the NCHA playoff final on Saturday at the Cornerstone Community Ice Center.

Kelly Wosnack, Trent Dickson, Andy Trann, Michael Buchan and Jason Deitsch scored in the first period for St. Norbert (26-1-2), which earned the NCHA’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, in which it likely will be the West Region’s No. 1 seed and host a quarterfinal game.
Ryan Melbourne scored in the second period and Derek Miller added a goal in the third for Superior (21-6-2).
Chancy Colquhoun made 19 saves for St. Norbert, which also won the Peters Cup in 1998 and 1999. Nathan Ziemski stopped 21 shots for Superior.
