Defenseman Tom Preissing scored twice, Peter Sejna added three points and Colorado College clinched the title at the Nye Frontier Classic with a 5-0 victory over Iona on Saturday.
Third-string goalie Gian Baldrica stopped 13 shots for the shutout for CC (3-1), which didn’t allow a goal in the tournament. The Tigers beat Maine 3-0 on Friday.
Ian Vigier made 26 saves for Iona (0-2-1).
Sejna had a goal and two assists, and finished the tournament with two goals and three assists. Noah Clarke and Colin Stuart also scored for the Tigers, who were 3-of-7 on the power play.
CC outshot the Gaels 31-13.
