Senior forward Tim Yakimowsky scored three goals and added one assist to lead Wentworth to an 8-3 victory over Nichols Wednesday night.
With his three goals, Yakimowsky now has 78 for his career, which breaks the school mark of 76 set by Ivan Filippov, who starred for the Leopards from 1997-2001.
This season Yakimowsky has played in all 19 of the team’s games and is Wentworth’s leading scorer with 22 goals and nine assists for 27 points. Eleven of his goals have come on the power play, and three have been shorthanded, both of which lead the team. He has four game-winning goals, which leads the team as well.
He is the second-leading scorer in school history, having scored 78 goals and 59 assists for 137 career points, behind only Filippov’s 179.
