St. Cloud State dropped a 3-1 decision against the No. 3-ranked Wildcats from New Hampshire on Nov. 24, at the National Hockey Center in St. Cloud.
UNH moves to 9-1-0 overall with the non-conference win. SCSU (3-5-1, 3-4-1 WCHA) will complete its weekend with a 12:05 p.m. game at home Sunday against Dartmouth.
The Wildcats struck early with a goal by Kira Misikowetz at 4:45 of the first period. UNH ended the first period at 19:52 with a shorthanded goal by Allison Edgar to make it 2-0.
The two teams skated to a scoreless draw in the second period, before the Wildcats got back on the scoring track with a goal by Janine Goulet at 2:31 of the third. The Huskies broke the shutout at 19:39 with a nifty scoring play by Roxanne Stang with assists from Fiona McLeod and Katy Battis.
In the game, SCSU was outshot by the Wildcats 54-22 as Laura Gieselman made 51 saves in the game.
