Junior forward Jamie Weiss scored two goals and added an assist as Wentworth continued its best start in school history with a 5-3 win over Suffolk.
The Leopards built a 4-0 lead with 5:23 remaining in the first period, then held on as Suffolk used a goal in each period to cut the lead to 4-3 with 15:10 left in the third.
Weiss’ second tally of the night, at 14:01 of the third, sealed the victory.
Junior Jamie Vanek made 25 saves for the Leopards. Senior Matt Consentino made 21 saves in relief of starter Tim McGrath, who made eight saves and allowed four goals over the first 14:37.
