Providence skated to a 1-1 overtime tie against Princeton Friday at PC’s Schneider Arena.
Princeton took a 1-0 lead at the 5:27 mark of the first period as sophomore Gretchen Anderson scored off an assist from sophomore Susan Hobson.
The Friars tied the game at the 16:39 mark of the first period on senior Angela Hill’s first goal of the season. Sophomore Darlene Stephenson was credited with the assist.
The Friars outshot the Tigers 24-23. Princeton’s Sarah Ahlquist made 23 saves in net for the Tigers, while Amy Quinlan stopped 22 shots for the Friars.
The Friars moved to 3-4-2, while the Tigers moved to 1-3-1.
