Jason Camardo scored two goals and added an assist as Buffalo State nipped Milwaukee School of Engineering, 3-2, in the Buffalo State All Sport Invitational.
MSOE took a 1-0 first lead with 18 seconds left in the first period on a goal by Ryan Puffer.
Todd Nowicki tied the game for the Bengals just 8 seconds into the second period.
Comardo’s two goals came at 4:46 and 6:46 of the third period.
MSOE came within a goal on a shorthanded tally by Jacob Basten, Jr. at 13:16 of the third period.
Raiders goalie Adam Blomfield was pulled for the final minute of play, but MSOE failed to score. Blomfield made 32 saves in the loss, while Buffalo State’s Nick Berti made 22 saves.
Buffalo State (2-2-0) next visits Geneseo and Brockport in the opening weekend of SUNYAC play, while MSOE (0-2-0) begins its MCHA season hosting a pair against Minn.-Crookston.
