Janine Goulet broke a 1-1 tie in the first period and New Hampshire defeated Ohio State, 3-1, on Saturday.
The Buckeyes outshot the Wildcats, 31-23.
New Hampshire’s Kristen Thomas and Ohio State’s Jeanne Chapple traded goals in the first period before Goulet’s score. Thomas scored her second goal of the game early in the second period for insurance.
Jen Huggon stopped 30 shots for New Hampshire. April Stojak made 20 saves for Ohio State.
