No. 2 Minnesota-Duluth’s home opener against Bemidji State on Friday was postponed. Sophomore Kinne not returning to Bemidji State

According to an email from a Bemidji State spokesman, sophomore forward Bob Kinne will not be returning to the Beavers for the upcoming semester. Kinne had not played this season and tallied a goal and two assists in 26 games during the 2013-14 season.

Minnesota D-I men’s teams to play for North Star College Cup

The official title to Minnesota’s inaugural Division I men’s tournament that will be staged in January 2014 is the North Star College Cup. The event runs January 24-25, 2014, in St. Paul, Minn., with Minnesota, Minnesota State, Minnesota-Duluth and St. Cloud State all taking part. Bemidji State will not participate in the 2014 event.

Dill named new Bemidji State athletics director

Bemidji State announced Thursday that Tracy Dill as the university’s next director of intercollegiate athletics. Dill comes to BSU after 27 years at St. Cloud State, where he has served as associate athletic director since 1999. He will replace Rick Goeb.
