As we look ahead to Thursday’s opening round of the 2022 NHL Draft, those who follow college hockey shouldn’t be as optimistic for the same success as there was in 2021.

Magnus Chrona stopped two short-handed breakaways in the first two periods before the Pioneers broke through.
“Once we started helping each other out, it made a huge difference,” said Denver’s Mike Benning, who scored the go-ahead goal.
