Five different players scored and 12 players in total tallied points to lead the U.S. National Junior Team to a 5-2 victory over Slovakia Wednesday night in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre in its second preliminary-round game of the 2017 World Junior Championship.

Joseph Woll (Boston College) made 18 stops in net for the Americans.
North Dakota goalie Matej Tomek suffered the loss in goal for Slovakia, making 45 saves.
Team USA (2-0-0-0) returns to action Dec. 29 against Russia. Puck drop is set for 3:30 p.m. EDT and will be televised live on NHL Network.
