The ECAC announced Thursday that Quinnipiac junior forward Russell Goodman has been assessed a one-game suspension, in accordance with the league’s supplemental discipline process, as the result of his actions in the Quinnipiac game at Clarkson contest last Saturday (Feb. 11).
The league action was taken after review of a cross-checking incident that occurred at the 16:14 mark of the third period. Moments prior to the incident, Goodman was assessed a major penalty and game disqualification penalty for contact to the head.
The disqualification was his second of the season and per NCAA rules, Goodman was automatically tagged with a two-game suspension.
Goodman is not eligible to compete in Quinnipiac’s next three games – Friday, Feb. 17 at Rensselaer, Saturday, Feb. 18 against Union and Friday, Feb. 24 against Brown.
