USA Hockey announced Thursday that Princeton’s women’s coach Jeff Kampersal has been named head coach of the U.S. Women’s National Under-18 Team for the 2013-14 season. Joining him as assistant coaches will be Boston College associate coach Courtney Kennedy and Boston University assistant coach Katie Lachapelle.
Minnesota placed four skaters on the All-USCHO D-I Women’s teams, while Boston College placed three.
While the regular season records are different, but Boston University and Minnesota have won every postseason game. The two teams haven’t played since 2007.
To fully appreciate Boston University’s season, one must compare it to the previous one. The results in 2011-12 looked like the teeth of some old-time hockey players — there were gaps everywhere. Bowdoin announced Friday that Holly Lorms has been named a women’s assistant coach. Lorms graduated in 2011 from Boston University and captained the 2010-11 team that finished as national runners-up.
