Significant were a split by Mercyhurst with then-No. 20 Arizona State, good weekends for Atlantic Hockey and Hockey East out of conference, a tough performance by Alaska despite a sweep by No. 2 Denver, and then-No. 17 Bowling Green’s win against former coach Chris Bergeron at Miami.

Really rough penalties from Arizona State and Quinnipiac raised eyebrows over the weekend, while word on supplemental discipline was still being awaited.
