Men’s and women’s officials will be authorized to judge whether incidental contact impacted the goalkeeper’s ability to defend the goal beginning with the upcoming 2015-16 season as the NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel approved the modification to the rule regarding contact with the goalkeeper on Thursday. USCHO previously reported the modification on June 15.

Michigan State associate head athletic trainer Dave Carrier was inducted into the National Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame on June 25 at the organization’s annual convention in St. Louis. Carrier will enter his 32nd season as the athletic trainer of the Spartan hockey team this fall.
