Minnesota suspends Guertler indefinitely; incoming freshman faces DWI charge

Minnesota has suspended incoming freshman forward Gabe Guertler indefinitely for what a school statement called a violation of team rules. Nebraska-Omaha dismisses two, suspends one after incident allegedly involving racial slurs

Nebraska-Omaha dismissed two players and suspended a third after all three were ticketed for suspicion of disorderly conduct following an incident in which they allegedly used racial slurs. Canisius adds Walsh to staff

Tyler Walsh has joined Canisius as director of hockey operations after spending the last three seasons as Maine’s student assistant coach and video coordinator. Walsh is the son of former Maine coach Shawn Walsh and the grandson of former Lake Superior State, Bowling Green and Michigan State coach Ron Mason.

Ireland joins Bowdoin as assistant coach

Former Middlebury player and assistant coach Julia Ireland has been named an assistant coach for the Bowdoin women’s team. Ireland followed a playing career that included a 78-13-8 record by joining Bill Mandigo’s staff for the last two seasons. She replaces Holly Lorms on the Bowdoin staff under head coach Marissa O’Neil.
